Jim Fan, co-lead of Nvidia’s Project GR00T, confirms that the teaser for his keynote shows real robotic hardware operating autonomously, without teleoperation and at normal speed. The keynote is scheduled for November 9, 2026, in Austin, as part of the 2026 Conference on Robot Learning. GR00T aims to develop foundation models that combine vision, language and action to make humanoid robots versatile. To address the scarcity of physical data, Nvidia combines simulation, synthetic data generation and advanced teleoperation methods to expand available datasets by more than 1,000 times. The event is expected to showcase the range of tasks performed and clarify how much of the result comes from simulation versus real-world data.
