Moscow Exchange plans to launch trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT on December 1, 2026, following pilot trades and the gradual onboarding of participants. The transactions will use the exchange’s stock-market technology and be included in National Clearing Centre clearing. A Bank of Russia directive taking effect on November 17, 2026, separately permits public trading in the approved assets. Non-qualified investors will face an annual purchase cap of 300,000 rubles per intermediary, while qualified investors will be able to access any cryptoassets. Investors of either status must pass a test and become familiar with the risks before transacting.
