EVE AI Lab and Anthropic have studied the behavior of autonomous AI agents in a persistent virtual world marked by scarce resources and lasting consequences. This approach differs from traditional testing environments, where mistakes carry no cost and the simulation can be reset at will. Sui, a layer-1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, presents its infrastructure as suitable for these agents through an object-centric architecture, programmable transaction blocks and limited permissions. During a public demonstration on July 4, 2026, Sui peaked at 6,086,766 transactions per second, but the figure came from a controlled test and does not reflect ordinary network traffic. No direct partnership between Sui and the EVE AI Lab and Anthropic study has been documented, and actual adoption of Walrus and the sui-agent-kit remains to be demonstrated.
