Since the release of xrpld 3.3.0 in August 2026, memory consumption by XRP Ledger nodes has fallen by as much as 23%, according to Ripple. The reduction resulted from a fix to the memory allocator, which retained memory already released by the application, rather than from a memory leak. Measured savings range from 13% to 23%, depending on node history, across non-validating nodes and standard nodes. The fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment, activated on November 4, 2026, also fixes several functions involving single-asset vaults, the lending protocol, automated market makers and non-fungible token transactions.
