Stock futures fell Thursday evening after heavy selling in artificial intelligence stocks sent the Nasdaq into correction territory. S&P 500 futures lost 0.8%, Nasdaq-100 futures slid 1.3%, and Dow Jones futures shed 264 points, or 0.5%. During the regular session, the Nasdaq fell 5.5%, the S&P 500 lost 4.4%, and the Dow dropped more than 1,800 points, or 3.4%. Democrats’ wins in the House, the Senate and several state governorships triggered concerns about a potential slowdown in data center construction. Investors are awaiting Friday’s October payrolls report, which is expected to show 59,000 jobs added and an unemployment rate unchanged at 4.2%.
