Moscow Exchange plans to launch an organized cryptocurrency market on December 1, initially supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT. Transactions will be executed and settled through its existing exchange infrastructure, including same-day and next-day settlement arrangements and swap transactions. Qualified investors would receive broader access, while non-qualified investors must pass a knowledge assessment and face an annual purchase limit of 300,000 rubles per intermediary. Trading volumes, liquidity, and the number of participating brokers will determine the significance of this opening for Russia’s Bitcoin market.
