Oracle Cloud Infrastructure plans to launch Arm AGI CPU instances in fall 2027, joining Ampere and NVIDIA Vera processors in its cloud offering. The chip, Arm’s first directly designed processor, features up to 136 Neoverse V3 cores, 12 DDR5 memory channels and PCIe Gen6 connectivity, and is manufactured by TSMC on a 3 nm process with a 300-watt power envelope. Arm claims the AGI CPU delivers more than twice the performance of equivalent x86 systems in specific configurations, but independent benchmarks and instance pricing have not yet been published. Oracle is targeting both general-purpose cloud workloads and agentic AI services, which require substantial conventional computing alongside AI models.
