Phaze, a New York-based startup founded by Benjy Boxer and Chris Dickson, raised $8.75 million in a seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Indie, NextView, Makers, and Lerer Hippeau also participating. The company plans to use the funds to expand its engineering team, develop its product, and scale its customer base. Its platform provides low-latency access to powerful remote workstations for workloads such as 3D design, CAD, Blender, and Unreal Studio, and allows a human and an AI agent to work together in the same session. Agents can also handle background tasks through MCP servers, while enterprise features include centralized management and audit logging. Founded around 2024, Phaze has approximately ten employees and began rolling out beta releases in 2026; its founders previously created Parsec, which Unity acquired in 2021, as reported hardware costs have risen to three times higher levels.
