S&P 500 futures were little changed on Monday night as investors assessed Apple’s quarterly results and awaited the U.S. midterm elections. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 24 points, S&P 500 futures rose 0.1%, and Nasdaq-100 futures added 0.3%. Apple shares fell 2% in extended trading after the company issued a disappointing margin forecast and reported iPad sales below analysts’ estimates. In regular U.S. trading, the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.07% and the S&P 500 lost 0.51%, while the Dow gained 214 points. Asian markets were mixed, with South Korea’s Kospi down 3.28% and China’s CSI 300 down 0.84%. Investors will focus on Tuesday’s elections, corporate earnings, and U.S. data on job openings and factory orders.
