Tom Lee calls Ethereum’s 4% post-hack fall bullish

Share

BitMine chairman Tom Lee says Ethereum’s roughly 4% decline following Binance’s $6.3 billion hack is a sign that a cryptocurrency bull market is underway. He argues that the muted reaction demonstrates the sector’s growing resilience, citing Binance’s reimbursement of customers, swift intervention by stablecoin issuers and the absence of cascading failures across decentralized finance. The FBI attributed the hack to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group within two days, while investigators linked the incident to compromised corporate infrastructure rather than the Ethereum protocol. BitMine purchased another 8,573 ETH, bringing its holdings to 6,060,506 tokens, or about 4.9% of the circulating supply, while roughly $3 billion in stolen assets remained in addresses linked to the theft as of Nov. 2.
