Anthropic reported a $567 million operating loss for the third quarter of 2026, compared with a $974 million operating profit in the previous quarter, a swing of more than $1.5 billion. Revenue rose 47% to approximately $17 billion, but compute costs surged by around $5 billion. A non-cash $2 billion charge tied to the company’s employee donation-matching scheme also weighed on the result. Net loss reached $23.3 billion for the third quarter and approximately $104 billion for the first nine months, primarily because of non-cash fair-value charges on convertible notes and related instruments. Anthropic plans to price its IPO in mid-November and list on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT.
