Binance completes zero-knowledge proof for October 31 reserves snapshot

Binance has completed a zero-knowledge proof, known as a zk-SNARK, covering a reserves snapshot taken on October 31, 2026, at 00:00 UTC. This cryptographic method allows users to verify that their balances were included and that the platform’s liabilities were covered by assets without disclosing individual account balances. The proof covers ten tokens, including BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC, all of which had a reported backing ratio of at least 100%. Binance says it recovered about 95% of the roughly $6.3 billion drained from its hot wallets just days earlier, while another snapshot is scheduled for November 4.
