Bitcoin holders realized $1.115 billion in losses between October 30 and 31, compared with $519.15 million in realized profits, as the price fell below $80,000. Short-term holders sent more than 36,600 BTC to exchanges within 24 hours, indicating increased selling pressure. Even after a slide toward $77,553, investors who bought between one and three months ago retain a cost basis of roughly $76,400 to $76,500 and unrealized gains of 1% to 2%. Long-term holders, however, are maintaining modest exchange deposits and are not significantly reducing dormant holdings. Without sufficient demand, continued selling could push Bitcoin below recent buyers’ cost basis and deepen the correction.
