Trezor informed customers of a suspected hardware implant found in a Safe 5 device purchased from CryptoBilis in August 2026. The reported device has not yet been physically examined, but Trezor considers the report credible enough to warn buyers. Mishaboar, a member of the Dogecoin community, urged anyone who purchased a Trezor device from CryptoBilis in March 2026 or later to immediately move their funds to a new wallet with a newly generated recovery phrase. Users should neither reuse a potentially compromised recovery phrase nor rely on resetting the device alone. No CryptoBilis buyer has reported losing funds so far.
