Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia, two brothers from Waller, Texas, were sentenced to 180 and 186 months in prison, respectively. Both pleaded guilty in June to a violent home invasion committed in Minnesota in September 2025. For more than nine hours, they held the family at gunpoint and forced the father to transfer more than $8 million in cryptocurrency. They later fled before being arrested near Houston. According to Chainalysis, 46 violent incidents against cryptocurrency holders were recorded in the first half of 2026, with more than $30 million stolen.
