Trezor Warns of Possible Implant in Device Sold by CryptoBilis

Share

Trezor received a credible report on October 28 concerning a possible hardware implant in a Safe 5 bought from CryptoBilis on Tokopedia in Indonesia in August 2026. The owner described an additional circuit board with a cellular module and antennas that could capture the recovery phrase displayed on the screen and transmit it over a mobile network. Trezor examined four other devices supplied by CryptoBilis without finding any tampering, but the reported device still requires laboratory analysis. No buyer has reported lost funds, and no case has yet been confirmed through testing. As a precaution, the manufacturer advises affected buyers to transfer their funds to a new wallet, leave unused devices unconfigured, and retain them to obtain a replacement or purchase voucher.
