Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said during the quarterly earnings call that the platform will not base its growth strategy on a return of traffic from Google. Google’s AI mode and generated answers at the top of search results are reducing visits to Reddit, which lost more than one million search referrals per week on average in October 2026. US daily active uniques fell 2% year over year to 50.7 million, while the worldwide total remained stable at 130.3 million. Reddit reported quarterly revenue of $895 million, up 53%, and earnings per share of $1.40, but its shares fell more than 15% after the call.
