Coinbase submitted an application to Brazil’s central bank on Wednesday seeking authorization to continue operating as a virtual asset service provider. The filing, made ahead of the October 30 deadline, would allow the platform to maintain its services while regulators review the application. Coinbase also plans to expand its foreign exchange and payment activities in Brazil, which will require separate authorizations. Binance also filed an application, while restricting some services and delisting 22 crypto assets to comply with Brazil’s new rules.
