AlphaToken’s Hong Kong-regulated gold token XAUa goes live on Sui

Share

AlphaToken launched XAUa on the Sui blockchain on October 28, 2026, creating a token backed by physical gold held in Hong Kong. Each token represents one gram of 99.99% pure gold, certified by the LBMA and held in custody by Brinks, while AlphaToken handles issuance and compliance and TBook manages onchain distribution. Sui’s PAS restricts transfers to preapproved institutional accounts and validates them in real time against Hong Kong’s regulatory requirements through know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering and risk-management controls. Previously issued on Ethereum, XAUa expands the product into Sui’s Move ecosystem to support regulated distribution, although its restrictions limit composability and liquidity across open decentralized finance protocols.
