Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission said on October 26, 2026, that it had approved secondary-market trading in two existing tokenised money-market funds on a licensed virtual-asset platform. The products are ChinaAMC’s Hong Kong-dollar and US-dollar digital money-market funds, whose units can now trade around the clock. The framework lets investors exchange units outside regular dealing hours and without every transaction requiring a subscription or redemption directly with the fund. Liquidity, price deviations from net asset value and settlement arrangements remain key factors. The regulator will monitor trading and consider expanding the range of eligible products under a pilot framework rather than granting blanket approval for continuous trading in tokenised investments.
