Anthropic disclosed that it held $112.4 billion in cash and $19.3 billion in short-term investments as of June 30, for a total of $131.7 billion. That amount exceeded the cash holdings of Amazon, SpaceX, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Apple, as well as those of Nvidia and Apple combined, but remained below Berkshire Hathaway and Alphabet. If its initial public offering raises more than $100 billion, as reports suggest, its cash could exceed $230 billion, although existing investors will also sell shares and receive part of the proceeds. Meanwhile, Anthropic had $321.4 billion in estimated future undiscounted lease obligations and $265.6 billion in fixed or minimum-guaranteed commitments, plus about $245 billion in new obligations contracted after June 30.
