Akash Network token holders overwhelmingly approved a proposal to migrate the blockchain from Cosmos to Solana. The decision is expected to reduce operating costs and expand access to the network. However, the vote only authorizes the migration direction and the potential launch of a one-to-one SPL token, subject to the required audits. The Cosmos-based akashnet-2 network will remain operational until additional approvals are obtained and technical checks are completed.
