Luxor Technology raised $16 million in a strategic round led by CMT Digital, with participation from Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead and several angel investors. The Seattle-based company will use the funds to scale its cloud platform, fund its AI hardware business, expand its compute-derivatives operations and recruit employees. The raise follows the September launch of Luxor AI, which extends the energy, hardware, software and trading stack built for Bitcoin mining into AI and high-performance computing. Luxor reports $1 billion in mining ASIC trading, more than 75 megawatts of managed load across two US power markets and 1.8 million workloads processed by its cloud platform in 2025. Its cash-settled options, forwards and backstops on compute-rental indexes illustrate the convergence between Bitcoin mining infrastructure and financial markets for artificial intelligence.
