Share

CertiK identified deposits into Tornado Cash from an address linked to the theft of about $1.58 million in digital assets. The case is associated with a suspected private-key compromise reported around October 27, 2026, rather than a smart contract flaw. No specific tokens or victims have been publicly identified. The firm says private-key compromises accounted for a significant share of smaller thefts tracked in the third quarter of 2026, while the identification of victims and the tracing of funds after leaving Tornado Cash remain pending.
