Thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv for a final rally against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, just days before Tuesday’s election. Participants called for a commission of inquiry into the security failures that preceded the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and Netanyahu’s main rival, Gadi Eisenkot, attended the event. U.S. President Donald Trump raised the possibility of further strikes on Iran or a new agreement, while Tehran accused Washington of disrupting negotiations and military chief General Ali Abdollahi warned that U.S. warships would not enter the Persian Gulf. Elsewhere, Israeli forces made arrests in Hebron after an attack on two soldiers, the death toll from the church shooting in Jordan rose to nine, and Houthi airstrikes in Yemen killed at least 15 people.
