IDC forecasts that US humanoid robotics revenue will fall 41% below the baseline in 2027 and 58% below it by 2030 because of US trade restrictions targeting foreign robots. The research firm says Chinese vendors accounted for about 95% of global humanoid shipments in the first half of 2026, while US mass production is not expected to begin until late 2028. Cumulative US revenue foregone across all robotics categories could exceed $6 billion between 2026 and 2030, including more than $2 billion in 2030 alone. At the same time, IDC raised its global forecast to more than 750,000 humanoid shipments by 2030, with Europe expected to absorb some units formerly destined for US customers.
