Credo Technology Group launched its 1.6T ZeroFlap Active Light Cable on October 12, 2026, to connect AI accelerators over distances of up to 50 meters. The company says the cable consumes 12 watts per end, approximately 30% less than comparable active electrical cables, and is ten times lighter than traditional alternatives. Credo is targeting a mean time between failures of 100 million hours and hitless failover when a channel fails, but these performance claims still require field validation. Shipping is scheduled to begin in 2027, while Credo forecasts more than $600 million in optical revenue for the end of its fiscal year, following quarterly revenue of $479 million, up 115% year over year.
