Ethereum developers removed the planned October 26 activation of Glamsterdam on the Hoodi testnet, previously set for 17:42:48 UTC at epoch 132,352. The Ethereum Foundation wants to investigate how EIP-8037 interacts with smart contracts already deployed on the mainnet. No replacement activation time has been set. The decision also removes the Amsterdam execution-layer activation, the Gloas consensus-layer activation and the planned increase in the gas limit to 200 million. This is a Hoodi postponement, not an announced delay to Ethereum’s mainnet launch or a rollback of transactions already confirmed.
