On October 22, Uniswap Labs launched adapters on Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain that let its web app and API route swaps through liquidity from Curve, Fluid, PancakeSwap, and other venues. Uniswap says the seven sources cover more than 90% of decentralized-exchange activity on the three chains, with transactions settling atomically and route fees contributing to UNI burns. In a study published September 14, 0x analyzed 84,163 hooks across six chains, classified 54.2% as malicious and 26.4% as likely malicious, and reported executions as much as 50% below the quoted price. Uniswap and Paradigm argue that routers should vet the hooks they select, but 0x disputes that protection, alleging that a malicious hook was on its allowlist and noting that additional slippage checks remain optional. OpenZeppelin audited only two specific router changes, while Enso’s investigation of a Curve pool counted 129,070 successful swaps below the quoted price, with no confirmation that the pool is reachable through the new adapters.
