Square Tech signed a memorandum of understanding with GOAT Network to explore AI agent-powered stablecoin payment services in South Korea. The initial priority is to integrate GOAT Network’s technology into a stablecoin payment program for foreign tourists being developed with South Korean company Lordsystem. The service will allow visitors to verify their identity using mobile passports and pay participating merchants with US dollar-denominated stablecoins. Square Tech will lead domestic business development, merchant partnerships, and regulatory engagement, while GOAT Network and DAC Labs will provide the infrastructure, technical integration, and security support. The phased rollout is subject to legal and regulatory review as South Korea advances its digital asset framework.
