Tesla says its Robotaxi service accumulated nearly 2 million unsupervised miles by the end of the third quarter of 2026, an eightfold increase from the previous quarter. The expansion has been centered on Austin, where more than 300 Cybercabs were operating as of October 10, with service hours extended from 6 a.m. to midnight. According to Tesla’s safety report, the autonomous fleet traveled 3.1 million miles between January 22 and October 18, 2026, including 2,118,015 miles in Austin, with no reported injuries, airbag deployments, or incidents involving pedestrians or cyclists. The service now operates unsupervised in six metropolitan areas: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, while the Bay Area remains supervised. Tesla plans to expand to Las Vegas and Phoenix, alongside growth in active Full Self-Driving subscriptions, which reached 1.74 million.
