JPMorgan Asset Management ranks Bitcoin first in its long-term capital market assumptions for the 2027 decade, projecting a 10% compound annual return over 10 to 15 years. Bitcoin appears in the report for the first time, ahead of REITs at 8.2%, small caps at 7.5% and gold at 5.5%. The projections imply that $100 invested in Bitcoin would become $259, compared with $206 in U.S. large caps and $171 in gold. The forecast reflects Bitcoin’s 55% annualized volatility versus 18% for stocks, explaining the gap between its 20.9% arithmetic return and 10% compound return. Meanwhile, Bitcoin reached $83,500, Bitcoin ETFs recorded $23 million in net inflows, and Ethereum staking reached a record 35.9% of supply, or 43.8 million ETH.
