Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, announces he is personally developing a new programming language in collaboration with Input Output Global engineer Lucas Rosa. This language combines three concepts: transaction intents, proof-carrying data and Groth16 cryptographic proofs. The goal is to facilitate the expression and verification of complex blockchain actions without requiring every underlying calculation to be on-chain. However, no final specification, name or public release timetable has been announced. The language remains at the stage of a work-in-progress announcement with no guarantee of future availability.
