JPMorgan Asset Management has included Bitcoin for the first time in its long-term market assumptions report, positioning it as the asset with the best return prospects over the next 10 to 15 years. BTC shows an estimated annual compound return potential of 10%, outperforming gold (5.5%), US large-cap stocks (7.5%) and US REITs (8.2%). This performance comes with an estimated annualized volatility of 55%, significantly higher than all other assets in the ranking. Bitcoin is not yet included in the bank’s main covariance matrices, which excludes it from portfolio optimization models for now. JPMorgan also anticipates a supernova of global investments worth 15 trillion US dollars that should support growth over the next decade.
