Meta has brought online the first phase of Prometheus, its artificial intelligence supercomputer, at its data center campus in New Albany, Ohio. The facility operates at gigawatt scale and contains hundreds of thousands of GPUs, with the goal of reaching approximately one million GPUs for a total capacity of 1 GW. The cluster is primarily dedicated to training the Muse family of foundational models, including the Muse Wonder models which deliver industry-leading performance. Meta presented the system’s performance details at the OCP Global Summit on October 12, 2026, reporting a goodput exceeding 85% during pre-training phases and over 90% during reinforcement learning runs.
