A Telegram channel has been posting videos allegedly filmed aboard Benjamin Netanyahu’s military helicopter and photos from inside his official plane, the Wing of Zion. The administrators are demanding 1,011 dollars in bitcoin for the first batch of files. The channel claims to have hacked the phones of Yossi Shelley, Israel’s ambassador to the UAE, and of Sara Netanyahu, the Prime Minister’s wife. No Israeli media or authorities had authenticated the images as of Thursday morning. The modest sum and the timing, twelve days before the October 27 election, suggest a destabilization operation rather than a genuine extortion scheme.
