Hyperliquid is a decentralized trading platform enabling users to trade cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities (gold, silver, oil) and even pre-IPO companies through perpetual contracts, accessible 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Access is available either via an EVM-compatible crypto wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, OKX Wallet, Coinbase Wallet) or by email login, with no identity verification required. USDC is the primary collateral accepted across most markets; other cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, SOL) must first be sold for USDC on the spot market before trading perpetual contracts. The HIP-3 protocol allows external deployers to create their own markets: Trade[XYZ] offers stocks, indices and commodities, while Entropy enables pre-IPO contracts on private companies such as Anthropic or OpenAI. Fees on traditional finance markets are typically twice as high as on crypto markets, unless the Growth Mode is activated by the deployer.
