Ripple signed a strategic partnership with Meritz Securities, marking its first deal with a South Korean securities firm and its fourth institutional partnership in the country in 2026. The agreement, signed on October 1, 2026, at Meritz’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul’s financial district, by CEOs Jang Won-jae and Monica Long, focuses on exploring digital asset custody and tokenization infrastructure. The areas under study include spot digital asset ETFs, fractional investment products, security token offerings, trading platforms, and stablecoins. The partnership aims to stay ahead of South Korea’s new security token framework set to take effect on February 4, 2027. The agreement is exploratory and does not commit to any commercial product launch.
