RLUSD’s TrustLinq expansion reaches over 190 countries – What does XRP gain?

Share

TrustLinq, a Swiss-regulated financial intermediary, is expanding the payment reach of Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD to over 190 countries and 80 currencies, opening opportunities beyond crypto markets. RLUSD’s market capitalization has surpassed $2.5 billion, supported by increased circulating supply and institutional partnerships such as Standard Chartered’s custody launch and Ripple’s participation in OKX’s funding round, which valued the exchange at $25 billion pre-money. However, this geographic expansion does not automatically translate into a price increase for XRP, which is trading at $1.38, a 16% decline from its September high. Transaction fees on the XRP Ledger remain too low to generate significant buying pressure, and Binance reserves have dropped to approximately $2.6 billion in recent weeks, making it difficult to assess future demand. The real benefit for XRP will depend on spot buying, tighter exchange supply, and deeper market liquidity.
