Autheo’s THEO plunges 92% after suspected bridge exploit on Base

Share

Autheo’s THEO token lost 92% of its value in 24 hours after 19 million tokens were minted without authorization on the Base network on October 13, 2026. The attacker sold these tokens and swapped them for approximately 700.8 ETH, worth around $1.76 million. The token’s price dropped from roughly $0.08 to $0.006, and Autheo has urged holders to stop buying, selling or bridging THEO. The project uses a Hyperlane-based bridge to move tokens between its mainnet, Base and Robinhood Chain, and the incident is being treated as a suspected bridge exploit.
