Blockchain.com pursues CFTC approval for prediction markets: CNBC

Blockchain.com has applied to the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for two licenses to offer event futures contracts and crypto derivatives to US investors. The company filed for designated contract market (DCM) and futures commission merchant (FCM) licenses. It announced in July a partnership with Polymarket to integrate prediction markets into its app. The firm is also considering an IPO with a valuation of up to $6 billion and a raise of $500 million.
