Pi Network Just Clarified Its Big Stablecoin Plans: Here’s What Pioneers Should Know

Pi Network has detailed its stablecoin strategy following a partnership with Open Standard, which brings together over 200 participants across finance, payments, technology, and crypto. The team confirmed that PI will remain the network’s primary token, with stablecoins serving a narrower complementary role focused on use cases requiring predictable pricing such as commerce, payments, accounting, and settlement. No OUSD integration on Mainnet has been confirmed yet, and no rollout date has been set. The PI token recently crashed to $0.078 on October 7, a three-month low, before recovering to around $0.081, with its market cap plummeting to $915 million, ranking it as the 69th largest cryptocurrency.
