A hacker using the pseudonym ChimeraZ claimed to be selling data belonging to 29,611 individuals stolen from the Agence de services et de paiement (ASP) on a specialized forum, including 24,065 Social Security numbers, 26,871 email addresses, and detailed personal information such as names, dates of birth, postal addresses, phone numbers, and family status. The breach reportedly occurred on September 29, and the claim was deemed credible by FrenchBreeds after examining a sample. This marks the third data breach in six months for the public agency, following intrusions in April and August 2026 affecting vocational trainees and recipients of an energy assistance program in the Île-de-France region. As of the report date, the ASP had not issued a public response, while ANSSI recorded 67 confirmed data breaches across government services since August 1, 2026.
