Moscow Exchange Plans To Open Crypto Trading On December 1

Share

Moscow Exchange, Russia’s largest securities exchange, plans to offer cryptocurrency trading starting December 1, with testing already underway with professional market participants. Unqualified investors will have access to a limited group of major crypto assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT, subject to an annual investment cap through each intermediary. Qualified investors will have broader access without the same amount limits. The move represents a shift from derivatives to direct cryptocurrency trading under Russia’s new regulatory framework that formalizes the role of existing exchanges, brokers and asset managers in digital asset markets.
