Coinbase’s lead cryptographer responded to Drake’s warnings about cryptocurrency security against AI by calling them mere FUD. Ethereum cofounder Vitalik Buterin acknowledged that the risk from AI-accelerated mathematics is real but said it targets lattices rather than elliptic curves. A former Ethereum Foundation researcher said bunker mode would not help if elliptic curves actually broke.
