Samsung will integrate USDC into Samsung Wallet starting in the last week of October for eligible Galaxy users in the United States. This feature will allow sending the stablecoin to compatible wallets on the Solana network, without fees from Samsung, or transferring funds to bank accounts in over 60 countries with receipt in local currency. The 82 million Galaxy devices running Android 13 or later are eligible, without the need for a third-party application or seed phrase management. Bastion handles custody, compliance controls and international transfers, while Coinbase Prime Vault serves as sub-custodian of the USDC held. Access will remain restricted to eligible US residents aged at least 18.
