Ripple’s treasury has minted 30 million Ripple USD (RLUSD) in a single transaction, continuing a series of significant issuances for this USD-pegged stablecoin. The market capitalization of RLUSD stood at approximately $2.53 billion as of October 7, according to CoinGecko. Between September 21 and 22, a total of 59.5 million RLUSD were created, while 29.85 million were burned on September 22. These minting and burning operations are part of the normal issuance and redemption process for institutional customers. RLUSD is minted and burned on the XRP Ledger based on fiat deposits and withdrawals from clients.
