Capital starting to rotate back to crypto from AI: Raoul Pal

Raoul Pal, a former Goldman Sachs executive and cryptocurrency analyst, is observing an early rotation of capital from AI markets back to cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin surged approximately 25% to $80,000 between August 19 and 25, while Nvidia stock recorded seven consecutive losing sessions during the same period. AI agents can now make web payments using stablecoins through Coinbase’s x402 protocol on AWS. Pal believes Ethereum and Solana are better positioned than Bitcoin to capture the economic activity generated by AI, with $54.4 billion in decentralized finance for Ethereum compared to $6.7 billion for Solana.
