Corteva just underwent a big spinoff. JPMorgan says the agriculture stock is now poised for big gains

Share

Corteva has completed a spinoff of its seed business into Vylor, shifting its strategy toward crop chemicals. JPMorgan upgraded the stock to overweight with a $19 price target, implying 53% upside potential. Analyst Jeffrey Zekauskas views the valuation as attractive, noting that new in-licensed crop chemical molecules should deliver strong growth and above-average margins. Corn prices, which recovered to around $5 per bushel after falling below $4, could support pricing stability or improvement in the sector by 2027. Of the 23 analysts covering the stock, 15 recommend buy or strong buy, and shares have gained 23% year to date despite declining 6% in the past month.
