Solana launches open-source DvP program for institutional trade settlement

Share

Solana has launched an open-source delivery versus payment program allowing financial institutions to settle tokenized securities and USDC atomically on its blockchain. Transaction finality stands at approximately 400 milliseconds, compared to one to two days for traditional settlements. The program relies on SPL Token-2022 extensions and supports compliance features such as whitelisting. J.P. Morgan completed a notable proof of concept by arranging a 50 million dollar commercial paper issuance for Galaxy Digital Holdings LP on December 11, 2025. Several major financial institutions, including Morgan Stanley, BNY, State Street, and Societe Generale, have already piloted or implemented solutions using Solana’s capabilities for asset workflows.
